Getting to know the Owner!
Erika Martinson comes from one of the first settlers in Madison, WI. She spent most of her life in Cottage Grove, WI graduating from Monona Grove High School in 2011. Erika was an entrepreneur from the start, as a little girl Erika aspired to be a cashier. She took Business Management, Marketing, Woods, and Web Graphic design classes throughout her high school career.
After high school she had a passion for cosmetology, specifically focusing on hair designs. Erika enrolled herself in the Regency Beauty Institute. While she was working hard at the Institute she became a first time mother. She graduated Regency Beauty Institute in the fall of 2014.
At this time, just starting out with her family she moved to northern Wisconsin. Erika was a stay at home mom during that time and soon welcomed her second daughter in the fall of 2015. Having 2 beautiful babies she wanted to be closer to family. In the spring of 2016 she moved back to Madison.
With the support of her family Erika went back to work. She worked for serval companies with careers ranging from customer service, sales, to technical support.
Erika knew she was meant for bigger things. This is where she felt her calling. She created a company called Total Designs Madison, WI. Erika’s ancestors were the first settlers in Madison, WI. This is where she has roots. This is where she calls home. Eben and Rosaline Peck traveled from Blue Mounds, WI to Madison, WI in a sleet storm in April of 1837. They settled on the southwest side of Butler St. The first house was built by 2 Frenchmen and was named the Peck Cabin. Eben and Rosaline birthed their daughter and named her Wisconsinia Victoria Peck but, always went by Victoria Peck.
